Sandvik’s Orange site is Sandvik Mining’s second largest facilityin NSW and focuses on equipment support and servicing. As a24 x 7 operation in the Central Tablelands of NSW, the weatherranges from -7oC to 45oC in summer with the workshop alwaysin operation to support client requirements.Compressed Air is required to support the workshop whichincludes air tools and filling of tyres.As part of Sandvik Australia’s focus on sustainability, RenewTechEnergy reviewed the compressed air system on site.

CHEP Kenwick Heat Pump Upgrade replaced a natural gas boiler system with a high-efficiency renewable-powered heat pump solution, significantly reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions. The project delivers over $59,500 in annual energy savings, cuts 136 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year, and supports CHEP's journey towards net-zero operations through a reliable, future-ready industrial heating system.

The primary goal of this project was to design and install a high-efficiency carportmounted solar PV system to support Cochlear Limited’s commitmentto sustainability and energy efficiency. This initiative aimed to reduce carbonfootprint, lower electricity costs, and enhanceenergy resilience for the facility. The solar system was structured with four 110kW Sungrow inverters, each configured with multiple MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) inputs to optimise energy yield.
