Director of Projects and Funding
Edwin Burwood
Edwin is the founder of RenewTech Energy and has previously founded and led two other successful companies, with over 25 years of experience in energy efficiency, distributed generation, and renewable energy project delivery. Across his career, he has overseen the delivery of more than 650 commercial and industrial energy projects, including over 250 MW of solar PV installations across Australia.

Edwin leads Solar & BESS projects from origination through planning, commercial structuring, and financing preparation. His experience in grant funding, certificate schemes, and project structuring provides practical insight into funding requirements and lender expectations. Edwin holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Honours) from the University of Newcastle.
Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Maria Burwood
Maria is the Chief Operating Officer and leads the operational stand-up of RenewTech Energy, building the governance and delivery capability to take C&I and grid-scale renewable assets from origination through financing, construction, and operation. Maria brings over 24 years of executive operational experience across the project finance landscape—institutional lender, government investment program, and corporate sponsor—combined with deep subject matter expertise in climate-related financial disclosure (TCFD, ASRS, IFRS S2).

She has advised Equator Principles lenders on major energy developments including for ExxonMobil and TotalEnergies, led Westpac's Australian 100% renewable energy transition, and held senior governance roles on the Australian Government's A$1.2 billion Clean Technology Investment Program. Maria holds a Bachelor of Process Metallurgical Engineering and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of New South Wales. She is also a Certified Energy Manager and serves as Non-Executive Director and Standards Committee Chair at Good Environmental Choice Australia.
Project Director
Krzysztof Mierzwicki
Krzysztof brings over 24 years of experience across renewable energy development, environmental assessment, and M&A transactions. He has led more than 200 environmental and technical assessments across Europe, Asia, and Australia, supporting projects from feasibility through to financial close. He performed projects according to ASTM, WB, Equator Principles, IFC, or EBRD requirements. He has a proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams across large-scale infrastructure, industrial, and municipal projects.

His experience includes technical and environmental due diligence for major infrastructure and real estate transactions on behalf of global financial institutions and corporates, including Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank/RREEF, ING, Aberdeen Investments, Advent International, Europa Capital, Allied Irish Bank, the World Bank, EBRD, ADF, and KfW. He has also worked with leading renewable energy developers, including Ørsted, Equinor, Polenergia, and RWE, on large-scale solar, wind (onshore and offshore), and battery storage projects.

Krzysztof acts as Project Director, leading origination and technical oversight and overseeing large-scale Solar and BESS delivery. His role includes oversight of design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, ensuring delivery in accordance with investor requirements and international infrastructure standards. Krzysztof holds a Master of Environmental Engineering (Honours) from the Warsaw University of Technology and a Master of Science in Geographical Information Systems (Honours) from the Institut für Geographie und Geoinformatik, Paris-Lodron-Universität Salzburg. In addition, he has extensive project-management capability built on PRINCE2, IPMA, and complementary professional trainings.
EA to CEO and Office Manager
Zoya Ashari
Zoya is a professional Executive Support specialist with over 15 years of experience supporting C-suite leaders across construction and owner-led SME environments. Currently supporting the CEO at RenewTech Energy, she acts as a trusted strategic right hand, bringing a proven track record of keeping organisations structured, compliant, and operating efficiently. Zoya manages complex calendars, board packs, HR onboarding, procurement, and cross-functional projects with precision and discretion, ensuring the business runs with clarity and consistency.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts, as well as Diplomas in Leadership & Management and International Business.
Senior Engineering Manager
Roshan Shrestha
Roshan is an Electrical Engineer and Project Manager with over a decade of experience delivering energy efficiency and renewable energy projects across Australia. He has successfully managed a wide range of projects, including solar design and installations, lighting upgrades, heat pumps, air compressors, EV charging infrastructure, and metering solutions for industrial and commercial clients.

A Clean Energy Council (CEC) Certified Solar Designer and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional, Roshan holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and a Diploma of Project Management. He specialises in end-to-end project delivery and navigating government rebate schemes, helping businesses reduce operating costs and achieve their emissions reduction targets through practical, sustainable energy solutions.
Project Manager
Preet Pavneet Kaur
Preet is an IT Engineer with a strong background in project support and administration. She has contributed to a diverse portfolio of projects, including government, high-priority, and confidential initiatives across various environmental service lines, with a particular focus on documentation control and project delivery.
Electrical Engineer Intern
Jack Zhou
Jack holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Honours) and Computer Science, and supports the engineering team across a range of technical and operational functions. He contributes to research, data analysis, workflow automation, and the development and delivery of projects, helping drive efficient and effective outcomes across the organisation.
